The City Walls in Newcastle

The City Walls in Newcastle

The City Walls is a very good attractions point in Newcastle. The walls is an extensive surrounding wall protected Newcastle in the 13th century. Parts of this wall are still standing today, and its towers and weathered surface are of interest to many. Visitors are usually most impressed with the "West Wall" remains located at the rear of Stowell Street, and the parts that are still standing amid Fourth and Hanover Streets. I found this great accommodation from an online reservation hotels site which gives me a list of hotels in Newcastle with all the facilities at discount offer. This is a great way to go back in history to a time when defending one's city was a crucial responsibility.
