Moreover, the New York State Museum is the main cultural site in Albany, concentrating on natural history, fine arts, social and political histories as well as on New York's economy. The Times Union Center, formerly known as the Knickerbocker Arena or more currently The Pepsi Arena, serve as the city's biggest musical place for internationally and nationally prominent bands and sporting events, trade shows and other major community gatherings. It is recommended that you book in inexpensive hotels in albany so that you can use the money saved for other travel expenses, say transportation or food. Tourist destinations and historical establishments, farms and orchards sites are packed around the city.
